Hebrews 11:20-29 The Faith of Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Moses

In these verses, once again, our author focused on faith, not works. All these men were flawed. Isaac was a liar, Jacob was a conniver, and Moses was a murderer. Joseph was a favored son who was quick to “tell on” his brothers and ended up in slavery. But they had one important thing in common. They had faith in God’s promise. And our author pointed them out as examples of faith, the same faith he wanted his audience to have. They had faith in God’s promise, just as we must have faith in God’s promised Savior, Jesus Christ.
